Fire ants are very dangerous. They can give us a distressed sting. There are various types of fire ants. One of the most important one is the Red imported fire ant. It can also be called as invicta. The common type of these ants have a fade colour of  reddish - brown and is 1/8 inches long. 

For the most part, they are found in southeast and southwest part of the United States. A few are found in India. They also reside in parts of Asia, New Zealand and also in Carribean countries. It inhabits itself in it's fire ant colony of nests. It is called mounds which is generally situated in


moist places, lawns, pastures, playgrounds and walls of buildings. These mounds can grow quite large over 18 inches long and 2m wide.



When we disturb these types of ants by going to their place and definitely bite us. This is the stung of the red and which is hazardous. There are 4 - 5 crores of people suffering from this stung of the red imported fire ants. They form in our skin like a white bubble projecting out. It would by itchy and burning. We can prevent this from wearing shoes whenever we go out. This sting gives out a venom which makes that area of injury to swell up.

The symptoms of the stung includes red fields on skins, nausea, throat or breathing infections and feeling dizzy consequently. 


After getting a stung we have to : 

=> Apply soap and water to wash it.
 
=> Wrap a chunk of ice in a clean towel and                     keep it in that area.

=> Get an instant medical checkup with a doctor.
