             Immune System

Immune system, consisting many organs, tissues (a group of cells), antibodies and proteins which works together to protect our body by fighting off the illness. Wherefore, we recover after a fever by the blood cells presented in the Immune system. It is a vast system and spreads throughout the body.

It spots the germs and then attacks it. It also disposes the dead cells away from the body.

The Immune system comprises of white blood cells also known as leukocytes. They are found in many places like in spleen and the bone marrow. It has two major parts - phagocytes and lymphocytes.

1. Phagocytes - They chew and break down the germs situated in our body. It consists of further 4 parts which are also known by various names.

3.1 Neutrophils - It is a common type of phagocyte founded which looks forward for defensing against bacteria.

4.2. Monocytes - They are strong, the biggest type and have distinct roles.

5.3 Macrophages - They eliminate the pathogens, died and half died cells away from our bodies.

6.4 Mast cells - It is the role of these cells to heal our wounds.

2. Lymphocytes - Lymphocytes are made in the bone marrow and the lymph nodes. The organs of Lymphocytes are known as lymph organs. They let the body to recall and recognise the previous invaders which they have already fought. They are categorised as B Lymphocytes and T Lymphocytes. They have different functions.

2.1 B Lymphocytes - The B Lymphocytes secretes and produces antibodies. It also spots antigens, also called as plasma cells. They also caution the T Lymphocytes.

2.2 T Lymphocytes - The T Lymphocytes devastates the compromised cells. The kind of T Lymphocytes which attacks the other cells are known as (cytotoxics). The kind of T Lymphocytes which communicates and helps other cells are called as (Th Cells).

Our Immune system is very essential for us. So we have to ensure to :

1. Get proper shots (vaccines)

2. Wash hands regularly

3. Get sufficient amount of sleep

4. Maintain a proper body balance

5. Regular Medical Checkups

so that the Immune system works properly and to boost it.

Frequent cold, infections, tiredness, stress, stomach pain and wounds to heal slowly are some symptoms which indicates the weakness in Immune System. Without our Immune system, our body will recieve the attacks of bacteria, parasites, fungi etc. Thereupon it is very important.

Meanings :

1. Spleen : It filters the blood and is located in the upper left of abdomen.

2. Antibodies : They are protiens made by the immune systtem.

3. Thymus : It is a gland situated below the neck.

4. Bone Marrow : A part which produces red blood cells. It sits in the middle portion of the bones.

5. Lymph Nodes : It is kidney bean organ in shape and fights against diseases.

6. Gland : A group of cells

7. Antigens : It produces the Antibodies. It can also emit a immune response. Antigens can also be dead cells in our body or bacterium, viruses or fungus.
