Internet traffic in India to raise 6.4-fold by 2017

According to Cisco’s Visual Networking Index (VNI) forecast (2012-17),

1. In India, Internet traffic will grow 6.4-fold from 2012 to 2017, a compound annual growth rate of 45%.
2. In India, peak Internet traffic will grow 8.5-fold from 2012 to 2017, a compound annual growth rate of 53%.
3. In India, Internet traffic will reach 2.5 Exabytes per month in 2017, up from 393 Petabytes per month in 2012.
4. India's Internet traffic will be 83 Petabytes per day in 2017, up from 10 Petabytes per day in 2012.
5. India's Internet traffic in 2017 will be equivalent to 8 billion DVDs per year, 629 million DVDs per month, or 861,446 DVDs per hour.
6. In 2017, the gigabyte equivalent of all movies ever made will cross the Internet every 2 hours.
7. Indian Internet traffic in 2017 will be equivalent to 125x the volume of the entire Indian Internet in 2005.
8. In India, Internet traffic will reach 2 Gigabytes per capita in 2017, up from Gigabytes per capita in 2012.
9. In India, average Internet traffic will reach 8 Tbps in 2017, the equivalent of 6,380,000 people streaming Internet HD video simultaneously.
10. In India, busy hour Internet traffic will reach 21 Tbps in 2017, the equivalent of 17,840,000 people streaming Internet HD video simultaneously.
    

In India, Internet video traffic is predicted to raise 11-fold by 2017.Currently,we all know that low-cost schemes like one rupee per video are offered in the market. Cisco has predicted that internet video users in India will increase more than seven times by 2017.
